There are many clubs interested in Aleñá, but Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur are among the best placed to secure his signature.

Tottenham would offer the 19-year-old midfielder a place in the first team squad. Aleñá has already tasted first-team action with Barça, making his debut in April 2017 as a substitute for Ivan Rakitic in an away victory at Granada. Barcelona have been keen to extend his contract for some time, and new coach Ernesto Valverde shares that desire. Yet the Azulgrana will have to offer Aleñá something more concrete than words.

Aleñá’s contract with Barcelona expires on 30 June 2018. As his current deal enters its final year on 1 July, his release clause will rise from €3m to €12m. Yet if a club were to swoop before the end of June, he would leave for a pittance.

Manchester City have opened talks with Tottenham about the potential signing of defender Kyle Walker.

Negotiations for the England international are at an early stage, and no fee has been agreed.

Fellow full-back Kieran Tripper is reportedly set to sign a new five-year deal with Spurs, which could pave the way for Walker to move to City.

Walker, 27, has made 183 Premier League appearances since joining Spurs from Sheffield United in 2009.

He was also picked in the 2016-17 Premier League team of the year.

City boss Pep Guardiola released three full-backs at the end of last season, including both right-sided players - Pablo Zabaleta and Bacary Sagna.

He is yet to bring in a replacement, though he is keen to sign Dani Alves, whose exit from Juventus was officially confirmed by the Serie A champions on Thursday.

It is understood Sheffield United have a sell-on clause of 10% of any fee above the estimated £3m they sold Walker for eight years ago.

上年wink成功上位都係pre-season踢得好,所以變相前年經常後備上陣的Onomah係上年都無咩機會出場...
現在walker應該都走硬,Kyle Walker-Peters又踢到LSB同RSB要上位就睇pre-season...唔係Pochettino一買左人就外借生涯決定.

Scott Parker has returned to his former club Tottenham as an Under-18s coach and club ambassador.

The 36-year-old announced his retirement from professional football on Wednesday after a career of two decades that saw him represent London giants Charlton, Charlton, West Ham, Tottenham and Fulham.

After captaining the Cottagers to the Play-Off semi-finals last season Parker had revealed his ambitions to move into coaching and he will now do so with the side he played for between 2011 and 2013.

“I’m delighted to be back at Tottenham and look forward to immersing myself in the job,” Parker said. “Obviously it wasn’t an easy decision to call time on my playing career though I’m looking forward to this new chapter and am grateful to Spurs for handing me this opportunity at such an exciting time in the club’s history.

“It is a great honour to represent the club both as a coach and ambassador.”

Parker’s arrival is the latest move by head of coaching and player development John McDermott to strengthen his academy setup, having recruited former Dagenham boss Wayne Burnett and ex-QPR youth honcho Perry Suckling earlier this week.

The Spurs boss, yet to kick off his summer spending, has targeted the 19-year-old centre-back (left) who represented Argentina at the Under-20 World Cup earlier this year.

His agent, former Manchester United midfielder Juan Veron, is already set for talks with last season’s Premier League runners-up and Foyth is ready to reject interest from Russia and Roma.

Manchester City are close to completing the signing of Tottenham and England right-back Kyle Walker.

The 27-year-old is expected to have a medical and complete the transfer on Friday after the clubs agreed a deal on Wednesday worth up to £50m.

Walker, who joined Tottenham from Sheffield United in 2009, will not join up with Spurs for the start of their pre-season training on Friday.

Instead, he will travel with City on Monday to start their tour of the USA.

City boss Pep Guardiola released three full-backs at the end of last season, including both right-sided players - Pablo Zabaleta and Bacary Sagna.

He missed out on the signing of free agent Dani Alves, with the Brazilian joining Paris St-Germain on Wednesday.

Walker made 183 Premier League appearances for Spurs and he has won 27 England caps.

The defender, selected in the 2016-17 Premier League team of the year, will become City's third signing of the summer, after the arrivals of midfielder Bernardo Silva and goalkeeper Ederson Moraes.

Manchester City have completed the signing of Tottenham and England right-back Kyle Walker for an initial £45m.

Walker, who has 27 caps and spent eight seasons at Spurs has signed a five-year deal with City.

The deal, which comes to £50m including £5m of add-ons, could make him the most expensive English player ever.

"I am thrilled to be signing for City and can't wait to get started," said Walker. "Pep Guardiola is one of the most respected managers in the world."

Walker, who joined Spurs from Sheffield United in 2009 and made 183 Premier League appearances, added: "I feel he can help me take my game to a new level."

Walker, who will wear the number two shirt, is expected to travel with City on Monday for their tour of the USA.

Tottenham had scouted the Portugal defender and Porto were confident their £22million asking price would be met, especially with Manchester City closing in on a record-equalling £50m move for Kyle Walker.

But Pereira's Portuguese agent is thought to have been uncertain at the direction of negotiations, with confusion about who would represent the player in the deal.

Tottenham were also keen on Djibril Sidibe, who scored against them for Monaco in last November’s Champions League defeat, but he has now signed a contract extension with the French champions that expires in 2022.

Roma have agreed a deal to sign Federico Fazio from Tottenham for an undisclosed fee.

The Argentina defender, 27, spent last season on loan with the Serie A club as they finished runners-up to Juventus.

Fazio signed a four-year contract on joining Spurs from Sevilla in 2014, but was sent off on his Premier League debut and failed to establish himself.

He played his final Tottenham game in September 2015, returning to Sevilla on loan before then moving to Italy.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR are closing in on German Under-21 star Jeremy Toljan, according to reports.

The 22-year-old Hoffenheim defender, who can play either full-back position, has just a year left on his deal with the Bundesliga club.

And according to Portuguese newspaper Record Sport, Spurs are set to beat Benfica to the highly-rated youngster.

The Eagles are said to have given up the chase for Toljan, knowing they can’t compete financially with Spurs.

Toljan, who made his debut for Hoffenheim aged 18 in 2013, is tipped as a future star for the German national team.

He has been capped at every level from Under-17 to U21 – helping that side win the U21 Euros last month.

The athletic Toljan, who stands 6ft tall, had been linked with Chelsea and Napoli earlier this year.

Right-footed, Toljan has spent much of his career playing as a left-back, but he is expected to compete with Kieran Trippier for the right-back berth if he moves to north London.
