GameStop Says 2.3 Million Customers Waiting for PS4

GameStop Corp. (GME), the largest specialty retailer of video games, said its initial allocation of Sony Corp. (6758) PlayStation 4 consoles sold out and that 2.3 million customers are waiting for the devices.
Initial sales of the player exceeded its predecessor, the PlayStation 3, by more than 80 percent in the first few days, executives of the Grapevine, Texas-based chain said today on a conference call with analysts. They also anticipate a large waiting list for Microsoft Corp. (MSFT)’s Xbox One, suggesting a prolonged industry sales slump is ending.

Sony said on Nov. 17 it sold more than 1 million PlayStation 4 consoles in the U.S. and Canada within 24 hours of the $399 machine going on sale. The figure included some of the 1 million units Tokyo-based Sony presold on a global basis, said Dan Race, a PlayStation spokesman.
Microsoft’s $499 Xbox One goes on sale tomorrow in 13 countries and also is expected to be in high demand after a seven-year drought on new home consoles from the two companies. Nintendo Co. (7974)’s Wii U is entering its second year of sales.
GameStop fell 6.5 percent to $49.04 at 11:50 a.m. in New York after dropping as much as 11 percent, the biggest intraday decline since May. The company forecast fourth-quarter profit of $1.97 to $2.14 a share, less than the $2.16 average of 20 analysts’ estimates compiled by Bloomberg.
The retailer, which accounts for more than half of Sony and Microsoft’s video-game software sales, will benefit from the console transition based on its ability to lure gamers who trade in older titles and hardware for discounts on new gear, said Colin Sebastian, an analyst at Robert W. Baird & Co. in San Francisco. He recommends buying the stock.

Is Europe Getting “Made in Japan” PlayStation 4?

While PlayStation 4 has launched in North America, it won’t be available in Europe until 29th November. A lot of issues, that were reported on PlayStation 4, emerged from hardware manufactured in a particular factory in China. It seems like Europe is getting an entirely different batch of PlayStation 4 that is “Made in Japan”.
These pictures of the European PlayStation 4 boxes and the actual console hardware are now available on twitter and on different sites. It clearly shows “Made in Japan” written on the hardware and the actual box. If that is the case, then we can likely assume that this new hardware will be of superior quality than the one manufactured in “Hangfujin Yantai” factory in China.

Website AnandTech has run two speed tests on the internet browsers packaged with the next-gen consoles.
The first test, using Sunspider, a benchmark suite that aims to measure JavaScript performance, found the PlayStation 4 returned a result of 1,027.40 whilst the Xbox One managed 2,360.90. This being a speed test, the lower the score the better and this shows the PS4 browser runs over twice as fast as the Xbox One counterpart.
The second test used Kracken, a JavaScript performance benchmark created by Mozilla that measures the speed of several different test cases extracted from real-world applications and libraries. This gave the PS4 a score of 22,768.70 whilst the Xbox One was around five times slower with a rating of 111,892.50.
The downside to the improved speed is increased power consumption; AnandTech found the PS4 used more juice in every scenario apart from when in standby mode.

索尼在官方論壇中指出，「我們檢測到部分PSN賬戶有非常規活動，檢測到此類活動後有時我們會重置密碼。」不過不用擔心，並不是PSN又受到攻擊，索尼稱，這樣做只是純粹作為預防措施，並沒有發現任何賬戶已被洩露。

索尼強調稱，只有一小部分用戶受到影響，而且完全不用擔心安全問題，但是他們當前還不能公開任何細節，因為這樣會導致索尼無法確保PSN用戶免受攻擊。由此可以看出，確實有什麼嚴重的事情發生了，只是還沒有被曝光。

從宣傳的角度睇,我覺得應該要引入呢批MIJ的PS4比最早訂機支持果班機迷啦。
MIJ固有建立的形象已經係信心的保證,
特別係流出之前MIC煙台PS4事件之後。

不過,N年前睇亞洲亞洲台的尋找他鄉的故事其中一集,
有間接提到PS1的生產地點(非核心組件,外殼ONLY),
其實係日本的鄉郊地區,而負責生產的就係當集的主角,
一位由中國嫁到日本的女士。

We monitor PSN account for any irregular activity. If such activity is detected we will sometimes reset passwords.

This was done purely as precautionary measure and there was no specific evidence that any accounts had be compromised.

Only a small number of users were affected by this and as I said this was precautionary so there is nothing specific to worry about.

I cant provide any further details as this would affect out ability to keep you guys safe.

If anyone has any concerns about there PSN account drop me a PM or give PlayStation Support a call.

You should also contact Support if you are unable to reset your password for any reason.
