Here's the new stuff you get in L4D2: The Passing

Valve has revealed a few scant details for Left 4 Dead 2's Spring DLC, The Passing. As well as revealing new weaponry, a new special infected, and confirming the death of an original Survivor, multiple fresh game modes have been teases. As in, more than one.

Here's everything promised so far for The Passing:

• The Witch Bride
• A M60 weapon
• A golf club melee weapon
• The "Fallen" Survivor
• New Game Modes

Sounds like a damn weighty package to me. As usual, I'm sure PC gamers will get to enjoy this for free while Microsoft will expect Xbox 360 consumers to pay for it. In any case, who is interested in picking this up? My Left 4 Dead 2 gaming has died off a little bit recently due to time constraints, but I'm sure this will drag me back into the game.

Zombie-shooting lovers may want to go fetal and cry right now: Left 4 Dead 2 DLC “The Passing” won’t make this month.
At least, that’s according to Inside Xbox’s SentUAMessage.
The Live program states the pack “will no longer be releasing this month”, despite no specific date being given by Valve other than just March. It did, however, confirm it would cost 560 MS points when it does eventually release (thanks, Mike).
The Passing sees the original Left 4 Dead 1 crew meeting up with those in L4D2, although one of the L4D1 massive won’t make it to New Orleans, as that character will have met his death by then.
That, and why the gang are heading to meet the new gang, is explained in a DLC pack for the first game that’s due to release after The Passing.

好似FPS版BH5咁又有得4個人CO-OP,
不過SERVER好似唔係幾掂有D隊員玩玩下會斷出房攪到無得玩,
正式版有無呢個問題?

想問下LEFT 4 DEAD 1的Platinum Hits版同Game of the Year Edition的內容有無分別?

L4D Platinum應該係同goty一樣包survival pack，但呢個dlc係free o既，所以邊個版本平就買邊個啦。

兩隻game都仲一大堆人玩緊，所以唔愁買邊個版本啦，買晒就最好。

Left 4 Dead 2's 'The Passing' rolls into town next week

All right, so the Left 4 Dead/Left 4 Dead 2 crossover DLC "The Passing" passed March by. Valve just announced it'll be available for download next week! We're sure the content will still be fresh, and the zombies still putrid, in April! Valve promised to update the official blog next week with more details.

Additionally, in the spirit of crossover ... ing ... ness ... the Left 4 Dead blog announced that two songs by the fictional Midnight Riders band have been added to the Rock Band Network. For just one dollar each, you can play "Midnight Ride" and "One Bad Man!" It would be appropriate to gather three friends to play the songs with.

尋晚玩左幾個鐘都冇人斷線而coop真係幾過癮不過只搵倒三次quick match

第一獲果班隊友睇住你死都唔會救你

死左兩獲後我就龜埋睇下佢地係咪只係唔救我

但發覺果三條友係任何人都當睇唔倒

第二同三獲都係同日本人玩不過打左第一版兩章就走晒人

之後成半個鐘都serach唔倒quick match所以改玩offline

重叫新game未夠一年既情形下成半個鐘都搵唔倒quick match (relastic/campaign)真係有d奇

其實係咪亞洲版個server同歐美唔係互通嫁

The Passing, Coming April 22
April 20, 2010 - L4D Team

The first game add-on for Left 4 Dead 2 brings the original Left 4 Dead (L4D1) Survivors down south for a meeting with the L4D2 cast, while delivering new single-player, multiplayer and co-operative gameplay for the PC and Xbox 360.

The Passing also introduces a series of weekly game mode events dubbed "Mutations." These week-long runs of new gameplay modes range from "Realism Versus" mode to "Chainsaw Massacre," which gives all players chainsaws with an unlimited supply of gasoline. There are over 20 Mutations planned, each playable on all L4D2 Campaigns. Mutations are exclusively available to owners of "The Passing" DLC.

In addition, "The Passing" offers a new co-operative challenge mode of play, support for infected bot play in Versus, a new "uncommon common" zombie class (the fallen survivor), melee weapon (golf club), and firearm (M-60).

Available for 560 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360 and free on the PC, "The Passing" takes place just after the Dead Center campaign of L4D2. Set in a small town in rural Georgia, players assume the role of the L4D2 Survivors as they meet with the L4D1 characters.

Exclusively available for Xbox 360 and the PC, L4D2 sets a new benchmark for co-operative action games. The title adds melee combat to enable deeper co-operative gameplay, with items such as a chainsaws, frying pans, axes, baseball bats, and more.

With the AI Director 2.0, L4D's dynamic gameplay is taken to the next level by giving the Director the ability to procedurally change weather effects, world objects, and pathways in addition to tailoring the enemy population, effects, and sounds to match the players' performance. The result is a unique game session custom fitted to provide a satisfying and uniquely challenging experience each time the game is played.

Finally, with new Survivors, boss zombies, weapons, and items, Left 4 Dead 2 offers a much larger game than the original, featuring more co-operative campaigns, more Versus campaigns, new Survival maps, and the new competitive game mode, Scavenge.

To celebrate the launch of "The Passing" DLC this Thursday Valve employees will be playing on the PC between 11am-5pm PDT and then on the 360 from 7pm-11pm PDT using special accounts. To play with someone from Valve just friend one of the following:

Dead Rising's Frank West passively in Left 4 Dead 2's 'The Passing'

Left 4 Dead's eerie atmosphere was made exponentially more engrossing by the warnings scrawled on the walls of each safe house by other survivors. Left 4 Dead 2's downloadable chapter "The Passing," released earlier today, features the above note, apparently written by another down-on-his-luck Zombocalypse veteran. Located by the sharp-eyed bloggers of Destroyed Controller, It reads: "Otis, Out of film, no helicopter. Zombies are too fast. Not going to make it. - Frank West."

It's a real shame that West's had to suffer such misfortune. We doubt he'd be in such an unfavorable position if he possessed the ingenuity of his spiritual successor.
