Trust us, DOA doesn’t stand for “dead or alive”. The film of the year for teen masturbators , this video-game adaptation pits ass-kicking babes against each other at a billionaire’s martial arts death match-dance party before they discover that they need to team up to defeat the evil genius’s plot to create the ultimate fighting sunglasses whose mojo can be e-mailed around the world for profit and, presumably, global domination. It’s even dumber than it sounds, with the plot threads barely connecting boring wire-fu scenes of Holly Valance, Jaime Pressly and non-acting robot Devon Aoki beating the shit out of each other in bikinis and slo-mo. Early on, it seems this might be a good natured parody. Not so: it’s leering, objectifying idiocy and one of 2006's worst.
