Batman: Arkham has "run its course"

Batman: Arkham Asylum 2 could not be set in Arkham at all, if comments made by the game's senior gameplay programmer, Paul Denning should be taken seriously.

Speaking in a retrospective on the original game in PC Zone magazine, Denning said the Gotham prison had probably "run its course" and other areas in the city would be "ideal" for gameplay.

"I think you're probably right in that it's almost run its course," he replied, when asked if there were other areas of Gotham developer Rocksteady would like to explore.

"We did pick a selection of buildings that we thought would fit the [original] game well," he added. "You could quite easily point out that there are various things that you wouldn't usually find in an asylum especially on an island that's supposedly self-contained.

"So, you could always expand that out and there are games in the past that have gone down that route. But I think you're right. Gotham itself is a fantastically realised fictional city and there are so many places that would be probably be ideal for gameplay and great to explore."

The debut teaser trailer for Arkham Asylum 2 suggests a setting outside of the original's madhouse. According to the programmer extraordinaire though, gamers shouldn't expect an open-world Gotham.

"I think sandbox games that do that well are so hard to realise," Denning told PC Zone. "GTA is obviously a fantastic example of one that gets it right but there are so many that get it wrong and I think you have to be so careful when you take that route.

"I think if Arkham Asylum had been that kind of game I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have been as good."

Rumor: Batman: Arkham Asylum II May Get Some Robin

Is Rocksteady's superb Batman video game series already reaching the point of Robin? So says a listing for Batman: Arkham Asylum II at the occasionally factual Internet Movie Database. That could be bad news or it could be good.

The bad depends on your tastes, whether you consider the lone wolf Batman to be superior to the dynamic duo version. The good perspective could be the theoretical addition of cooperative play in the sequel to Batman: Arkham Asylum, something we've just been groomed to expect from our current and future releases.

Regardless of your feelings, the IMDB listing for the game credits Vincent Martella with Robin voice acting duties. He plays Robin in the Batman: Under the Red Hood animated feature as well as Hope in the newly released Final Fantasy XIII. He's listed alongside Bruce Greenwood as the voice of Two-Face, also appearing in Batman: Under the Red Hood.

Perhaps the IMDB entry editing powers that be simply confused the two projects, but we've contacted Warner Bros. reps to try to clear this up.

April 19, 2010 - It seems Batman: Arkham Asylum 2 is somehow going to be even darker than the first game.

According to a report from ComicBookResources.com, famed Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy, who recently provided vocals for Batman: Arkham Asylum, discussed new details about the upcoming sequel from Rocksteady Studios.

Conroy, who spoke during a panel during the Chicago Comics & Entertainment Expo this past weekend, said the new game will have a similar tone to the animated movie Batman Beyond: The Return of the Joker. "It's really, really dark," Conroy said of the game in relation to the film. "It involves a lot of the villains and it goes to that area - it's that dark."

During the same panel, Conroy let slip that the villain Two-Face would be in the game. "There's a very complicated cast," he said after acknowledging his mistake. "A lot of villains are in it. I'll just leave it at that!"

Publisher Warner Bros. announced the sequel at last year's VGAs award show, just months after the release of the first game. Warner Bros has since purchased the majority share of Rocksteady.

個人覺得呢隻game既challenges比GOW3難起碼3倍......

所以, 你講得冇錯

不過最最緊要都係記得拎兩個響story mode可以miss既盃:
1.) 響毒氣室救埋個壞人(呢個響story開頭冇耐)
2.) 去Joker's Party前打哂門口4個及入門口後夾道歡迎你果16個henchmen
如果唔記得打門口果4個, 請restart from last checkpoint
如果唔記得打夾道歡迎你果16個, 請restart the whole story

(以上henchmen數目可能有出入)
