PlayStation Official Magazine Lists GT Sport Release Date as November 16

At E3 last week, Polyphony Digital treated Gran Turismo fans to a new release window for GT Sport. If “Fall 2017” wasn’t specific enough for you however, it looks like PlayStation has revealed a more exact release date. According to the latest issue of PlayStation Official Magazine UK, the game will launch November 16.
The news comes to us care of WCCFTech.com. There, WCCFT points out that the magazine has a track record with outing release dates. This lends credence to the mid-November release date, but without Sony or Polyphony’s official statement, it remains a rumor.
November 16 may sound familiar to GT fans. That’s actually the exact date — in 2016 — that Sony set for GT Sport’s European launch. This was prior to the late-summer delay announcement last year, of course. Nonetheless, the identical date has us skeptical, not least because it falls on a Thursday: in the UK, games typically release on Fridays.
Regardless of when it launches, GT Sport was readily available for play at E3 last week. Fans were treated to a brand new trailer, and a new circuit was unveiled. We chatted with Kazunori Yamauchi (twice), and learned a second beta may be on the cards.
In terms of the actual cars, Polyphony quietly bumped the total count to over 177 Super Premium models. The latest build also introduced numerous new cars at E3 — including a wild racing Beetle — so we’ve gathered them all up here.

Making Gran Turismo Sport: Real Driving - An IGN Documentary

雖然《GT Sport》已經確認將支持VR 模式，但遊戲製作人山內一典近日在訪問時表示，本作VR版的效果遠遠未到他的預期，原因是現在的VR硬件設備還不夠。
山內一典表達了對當下的VR 硬件水平的失望，並認為其與理想中的技術差距仍很遙遠：
世界上第一款頭戴顯示設備在我出生之前就有了，大概在1962年左右，在這之後我又等了超過50年。經過了這麼長的時間，我以為它能比今天有著更讓人驚嘆的表現。
此外他還提到，Polyphony Digital 在努力使PS VR 版本的《GT Sport》變得更好，並最終給大家交出一份滿意的產品。他們想讓VR 版本的畫面也達到PS4 版那樣的照片級，這使得團隊花了更多時間去吃透PS4 機能，最後在條件允許下做到了盡善。
在談及現有的VR 技術時，山內十分期望VR 硬件得到進一步提升：畫面看起來要能夠達到現如今2D 遊戲的水準。現在的PS VR 單眼分辨率只有960×1080，120Hz 刷新率，這是遠遠不夠的。
“一旦分辨率達到了8K，體驗就會非常棒。（Once We Get To Dual 8Ks, It’ll Be Pretty Nice）雙眼8K分辨率，屏幕刷新率達到200Hz，不過這恐怕還需要另一個50年吧？”
《GT Sport》預定今年秋季登陸PS4 平台，本作在PS4 Pro 上支持4K 分辨率、HDR 顯示、60幀、廣色域。

如果要推到8K 200Hz，我諗1080TI 6X即係72 tflops都應該差唔多夠

以傳統摩爾定律來計，大約12年後到

2020年日本開始8K廣播，咁8K Panel到左12年後都應該普及左，做價唔貴了

Emerson Fittipaldi to Make His Racing Return in His Own Gran Turismo Car

Formula One legend Emerson Fittipaldi is set for a very unusual return to racing in 2019.
The double world champion is aiming to take on either the Daytona 24 Hours or Sebring 12 Hours in a car of his own design. Stranger still, it’s the EF7 — a car designed for Gran Turismo.
Fittipaldi revealed his intentions to Motor Sport magazine during a Royal Automobile Club Talk Show. Designed as a Vision Gran Turismo car, the EF7 may now make it to the race track in reality too.
The EF7 is a collaboration between some of the biggest names in the business. Fittipaldi pulled the strings, Pininfarina drew the lines and HWA, the AMG factory race team, build it. A naturally aspirated V8 sits at the center of the car. Fittipaldi chose this simply because it’s more fun than a turbocharged engine.
In keeping with this do-it-yourself attitude, three generations of Fittipaldi will drive the EF7. Emerson hopes that his grandsons Pietro (21) and Enzo (15) will join him in the car in 2019.
Although not initially designed as a pure racing car, Fittipaldi believes it will adapt easily to the homologation requirements. He has ruled out a GTE class version though, which will prevent him from completing the Triple Crown of Le Mans, Monaco and the F1 world championship.
The EF7 will also be on display at this weekend’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.
