Valve has announced Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, due out on PC, Mac (via Steam), PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade early 2012.

As rumoured earlier today, the game features new maps, characters and weapons. According to Valve, it "delivers updated versions of the classic CS content (de_dust, etc)".

On top of that, you'll get new gameplay modes, matchmaking, leaderboards and more. Valve did not mention whether it is free to play.

"Counter-Strike took the gaming industry by surprise when the unlikely MOD became the most played online PC action game in the world almost immediately after its release in August 1999," said Valve marketing chief Doug Lombardi.

"For the past 12 years, it has continued to be one of the most played games in the world, headline competitive gaming tournaments and selling over 25 million units worldwide across the franchise.

"CS: GO promises to expand on the CS' award-winning gameplay and deliver it to gamers on the PC as well as the next gen consoles and the Mac."

Global Offensive is being developed by Defense Grid: The Awakening creator Hidden Path Entertainment in collaboration with Valve.

And Eurogamer is delighted to announce that the game will be playable at Eurogamer Expo 2011 next month.

On PC and Mac, Counter-Strike: GO players can expect the standard options you get with a Steam game and any of the control options you would have with a computer. On the Xbox 360, players will use a game pad. On the PS3, players can use the game controller, the PlayStation Move motion controller or even a mouse and keyboard. PS3, Mac and PC players will be match-made against each other, clumped by skill, regardless of input device or platform. (Valve didn't demonstrate the PS3-PC.Mac cross-play to me today, but they confirmed that that enticing bit of networking is something they are striving to include in the game.)

最初看到直接覺得挺爛
但第二個ign預告影片中提到, 這隻不是CS2, 所以原用舊engine 等等 所以就不覺得那麼爛

我就一直覺得既然推出不如推出CS2, 但繼CSS後同樣是選用舊engine這點就的確有點失望.
拿槍的樣子有不習慣到, 感覺有點奇怪. 但有些槍的模組有修改到的樣子.

會加入一些新武器,
一些出名地圖都會作出一點點修改 (例如de_dust2 恐怖分子開始點有樓梯和cover等)

雖然得知更多消息後提起了一點點以前的回憶, 看影片後就感覺好像會挺有趣....
但總覺得這樣想好像有點不對, 而且想玩的遊戲還有很多等著補完....所以

賣點似乎是"和現有流行的槍game不同".
沒有自動回血、 射兩槍就死、經典遊玩 等等
順帶一提, 影片提到今集會有分級系統, 玩家可以讓系統自動幫選場, 和差不多等級的玩家對賽

Valve has announced that the next-generation of the mega-popular multiplayer team shooter, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, will be coming out this Summer for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The publisher also released some screenshots showing off the new engine, in one level that apparently takes place in a suburban setting. Valve has promised that CS:GO will feature more new maps, characters and game modes, as well as improved matchmaking, a leaderboard systems and offline play against bots. 　 　日前，Valve證實了不少關於新作《反恐精英：全球攻勢（Counter-Strike: Global Offensive ）》的詳細細節。索尼 PlayStation 3版本不僅包含兩種特殊的遊戲模式，而且玩家們除了可以使用 Dualshock 3 手柄操控之外，還能使 用 PlayStation Move體感外設，甚至是鼠標和鍵盤。

　　據Valve透露，他們與索尼從《傳送門2（Portal）》開 始便一直保持緊密的合作夥伴關係，繼續成功使《傳送門2》支持PlayStation 3、PC和Mac跨平台互聯之後，現在這種特殊的功能再次延續到了 新作《反恐精英：全球突擊》上，PS3版CS也能互聯且支持不同類型的控制方式。

　　「PlayStation 3的遊戲開發工作給予我們一個利用該平台獨特特性的好機會。例如，我們的新作支持外設十分廣泛，不只是增加了PlayStation Move支持、甚至還包括鍵盤和鼠標。」

　　「當然，外設支持廣泛也意味著不同的玩家在同一場比賽中可能會使用不同的操控方式。我們的配對系統支持所有操控方式進行配對，但是並不會破壞遊戲的平衡性，無論採用哪種操控方式，配對到一起的都是水平相當玩家，同時系統也會為每一種操控方式提供單獨排名。」

　 　另外，《反恐精英：全球攻勢》還內置兩種特殊的遊戲模式，分別為Arms Race軍備競賽模式和Demolition爆破模式。其中軍備競賽模式類似 於此前1.6版中的死亡模式，不過Arms Race模式被殺後只會在自出生點瞬間重生，而且新武器只在殺人後自動升級；爆破模式開始時玩家只有一支步 槍，如果一輪中被殺，下一輪得到的武器將會較弱，而連續贏兩輪的會得到獎勵，共十回合，5輪後雙方互換。

　　《反恐精英：全球攻勢》將在8月21日正式發售，支持平台包括PC、Mac、PS3和Xbox 360。
