Dolby Pro Logic II
Dolby Pro Logic II / Dolby Digital Pro Logic II
For games that support this sound option, how can we utilize it?? Dolby Pro Logic II is usually done by amplifier which take stereo sound and then simulate 5.1 outputs. So, what's the point of choosing Dolby Pro Logic II in sound option of the game?? |

唔係AUTO SELECT架咩~?
因為佢都係SIMULATE..所以只要將SOUND OUTPUT直入SUPPORT DLII DECODE?鞝MP到就可以啦~ 以上係我一路以黎?鼤z解~

but the output from PS2 is still stereo... if the DPLII sound is simulated, that should be 5.1 output, shouldn't it |

其實"dolby prologic ii"係由普通stereo線出就ok, 即係2聲道input, 5.1聲道output, 所以先至叫做模擬5.1聲道~ 如果input同output都係5.1, 咁就唔係模擬啦!

DPLII唔係真正5.1黎。。佢只係模擬,所以要部AMP(OR ANY INPUT MACHINE)SUPPORT解碼同隻GAME SOUND有DPLII編碼先得~ 另外因為佢係模擬(用編碼方式OUTPUT,經過AMP解讀)所以出都係STEREO~ 簡單D就等於你用無聊器玩SFC點解唔洗SFC主機咁..

dude, read my question will u That's why i ask what's the point of DPLII in sound option!! Cause if the game(ps2) is doing the simulation, then the output from ps2 should be 5.1 but not stereo. if u want to fart, go somewhere else |

好簡單製作單位在聲音上可以對一般stereo同5.1作唔同的優化, 所以在option咪會見到有得on/off呢個function, 以俾你揀番最suitable的setting! 個point就係俾你揀用或唔用, 唔覺得會有其他要佢出現在option的原因; 唔係support就一定要用, 只不過係俾過選擇玩家, 有冇問題 老實講, 你覺得人地答唔到你問題可以出聲, 但人要識得互相尊重law...

Actually, I think there should be in 2 cases:
On encoded material such as movie soundtracks, the sound is more like Dolby Digital 5.1, it decode each channel out directly, no emulation process go thought. On uuencoded stereo material such as music CDs, stereo sound will go thought the emulation process and then output as 5+1 channel so, if the game is creating the DPLII encoded sound in real time, then there should be not much different appart from Digital 5.1 but it is much cheaper on the supported hardware cost. For your information, Pro Logic II provides two full-range surround channels, as opposed to Pro Logic’s single, limited-bandwidth surround channel. You can have more details at here |
