Just Cause 3 Unveiled by Square Enix & Avalance Studios

Square Enix and Avalanche Studios today unveiled Just Cause 3, a vast open-world action adventure, and the latest instalment in the much-loved Just Cause series. Just Cause 3 will be available in 2015 for PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One and Windows PC.

"We’ve been waiting for this moment ever since Just Cause 2 was released, said Christofer Sundberg, founder and Chief Creative Officer at Avalanche Studios. “This is the culmination of a decade’s worth of open-world evolution and innovation. In Just Cause 3, we’ve sent Rico to a beautiful Mediterranean archipelago. He is of course bringing his Grapple and Parachute, both with game-changing upgrades, as well as the brand new Wingsuit. Just Cause 3 truly represents the next generation of chaotic sandbox fun, and we can’t wait to show you more next year."

Just Cause 3 'On A Mission' New York Comic Con Trailer Released

Coinciding with this year’s New York Comic Con, we’re pleased to release the new gameplay trailer On a Mission. The trailer highlights how JUST CAUSE 3’s sandbox gameplay flows into missions, as Rico makes use of his vast arsenal of weapons and abilities to defeat General Di Ravello’ forces.

In this mission, Rico must protect the town of Costa Del Porto from the General’s tanks before breaking his friend Mario out of prison and escorting him to safety. Di Ravello believes the odds are stacked in his favour, but with Rico the General may have bitten off more than he can chew.

Get ready to ‘Set the World on Fire’ on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and high-end Windows PC on December 1st 2015.

Behind the Chaos of Just Cause 3

When talking about any Just Cause game, people usually imagine a sandbox game with a huge world, creative destruction, and tons of explosions. They are not wrong. But it’s nice to have a reason for all that chaos, right?

We came up with a really original one: save the world and get some sweet revenge. That’s a much better reason than “I felt like it” — at least in our minds.

In Just Cause 3, Rico comes home to save his homeland, Medici, from the rule of the despotic and manic General Di Ravello. This man and Rico go way back. Di Ravello is actually the reason why Rico left his home in the first place, so it’s no secret that they’re not on the best terms. This is the hardest challenge Rico has faced yet: not only will he need to free the people of Medici and beat Di Ravello, but also protect his friends. Let’s see how good he is at multi-tasking!

But why didn’t Rico challenge Di Ravello ages ago, you ask? For a long time, Di Ravello’s craziness was confined within the borders of Medici. However, with the discovery of Bavarium, a miraculous ore that has amazing military capabilities, Di Ravello’s ambitions have expanded beyond that… to conquering the whole world. No pressure, eh?

We’ve brought back some familiar faces to Just Cause 3, including Sheldon. There are also some brand new characters that you, together with Rico, will meet for the first time: such as Annika, the leader of the outlaws with connections in the underworld. You’ll also meet Dima, a brilliant scientist who plays a key role in the story, and Rico’s best friend Mario.

So, there you go: a reason for Rico to come back home and blow a lot of stuff up.

We hope you enjoy playing and destroying the world of Just Cause 3. For the people, of course.

Just Cause 3 Direct-Feed 1080p PS4 Screenshots Reveal Colorful Fields And A Great Draw Distance

Just Cause 3 retail version street date has been broken in the Middle East and due to this, the early copies of the game are out in the wild. The game apparently requires 37 GB of hard disk space on PS4 for installing the game disc.
Just Cause 3 has been confirmed to run at native 1080p on the PS4 and you can take a look at the direct-feed screenshots, shared by NeoGAF user nbnt, below to get a glimpse at how the game looks on the PS4.










The above screenshots also show that the game is certainly not short of colorful open fields. The draw distance looks pretty good on the PS4 considering the game runs natively at 1080p, albeit at 30 fps.
Just Cause 3 is developed by Avalanche Software and published by Square Enix. It is an open world action adventure game that offers a unique gameplay mechanic in the form of a grappling hook. This offers plenty of unique gameplay moments for the players. Avalanche Software has also added a new Wingsuit to the game that lets the players easily traverse across the world map.
Just Cause 2 was released on the PS3 and Xbox 360 and it was known for its huge open world. The world in Just Cause 3 is around 400 Square Miles so be prepared to spend a lot of time in exploring every part of it.
Just Cause 3 will run at native 1080p on the PS4 and 900p on the Xbox One. It will also launch on PC alongside the consoles on December 1st.
