MAC using vista/XP

I am considering to buy MacBook for a change. i am definitely wondering how the people using window in Mac with 2 different OS. Will the performance of window poorer than normal window notebook?

There are 2 ways of running Windows on Mac

1. Boot Camp, the program bundled in Mac for running Windows on Mac
You can only run Windows once at a time under Boot Camp
The setup is pretty easy
Once you follow the instruction correctly and finish the setup
everything would be ready, including trackpad, iSight etc.

It is said that a Mac runs Windows better than that on a PC...
So you certainly don't have to worry about the performance things

2. vmware such as VMware fusion and parallel
These softwares allow you to use Mac and Windows simultaneously
They even have a coherence mode that "merge" the programs together like they are in one system, like...


Surely you need a better spec to run it more smoothly (especially the case of vista)

BTW, Mac generally has everything you need and the softwares on Mac are usually much better and user friendly that the counterpart on windows... (excluding gaming...regret to say..)

另外我仲用埋vmware fushion, 可以借返bootcamp個windows, 響osx入面run windows o既software, 極方便, 但因為要同時run 2個os, performance會差d

我鍾意用parallel 多d
用起上來好似比vmware fusion 穩定d 同順暢d（新版來計）
而且parallel support gaming
雖然如果真係要玩game 都係用bootcamp 好d

話時話，我以前因工作需要，
Mac 用過 Boot Camp 及 Parallel，
同一個 Mon，但顏色會有很明顯的分別，
如果是大家是處理圖片或影像的話，
建議還是先 cal mon。

然後用VM等軟件mount Bootcamp image吧

so you mean if i follow the instruction and use bootcamp to install winxp,
and then use parallel to run windows in mac will be better?

is there any more specific instruction i can look at?

按指示用bootcamp 裝左windows + drivers
之後入返osx 裝parallel / vmware
parallel 應該會自己認到個bootcamp partition
如果認唔到就自己加返
之後跟住佢d onscreen 指示做就得（裝parallel tools / vmware tools）

果個係safari 4既beta黎.

靚係靚, 但用耐左速度顯著下降. 我懷疑同新果個favourite page有關...因為佢係background load多好多homepage既preview...
